My name is Dan P, I recently had a Total Knee Replacement at Mercy Hospital. Here we are, a scant 10 weeks later, and I'm bicycling 25 miles, flexing 141 degrees, and have been pain free for 5 weeks or so. It's really been a remarkable recovery and I am a happy, happy patient.

Surgeon: Dr. William Adsit, California Orthopaedic Institute in Mission Valley. Although Dr. Adsit gave great "bedside manner" and took all the time necessary to explain issues, listen to his patient, etc., none of this contributed to my fast recovery. Rather, I believe, though a layman, his surgical skill was a primary contributor to my extraordinary recovery.

Now, I have no idea what separates a great surgeon from a mediocre one as it seems to me, a layman, the procedure is pretty straightforward. But, clearly, results differ significantly between surgeons; Dr. Adsit seems to just have some sort of "magic touch". If you want to have satisfied patients and save money because of abnormally fast recovery, steer people to him!

I wanted to say "thank you" for fixing my Morton's Neuroma. I can't believe I had lived with it for over 20 years!

Prior to my surgery, a hike like this wouldn't have been possible because I was only able to make it a few hours at a time before the pain took me off the trails.

Through your diagnosis, surgery, and good advice for recovery, I was able to accomplish an 8 day hiking trip in Italy only 3 months after the operation.

I wish I'd had the procedure sooner, but I can now look forward to many more pain-free hikes!

Recently I underwent surgery on my wrist done by Dr. Peterson and was extremely pleased with the outcome. I feel that over the years he has performed miracles on my hands and wrists for which I can't thank him enough. Each visit that I've made to the clinic has been very pleasant thanks to the front desk staff and Mary Jo who is Dr. Peterson's right hand person and who deserves a medal for professionalism, kindness, caring, and thoughtfulness. She has always treated me with respect and been there whenever I needed questions answered - never leaving requests hanging. She and Dr. Peterson are a great team who I thank from the bottom of my heart!

It is my pleasure to write this letter to you about my shoulder and amazing care I received from physical therapist, Francesca Barton. Five months ago, I could not sleep, swim, hook my bra or get dressed easily. This week, I can do all of those including my morning push-ups! Thank you! Francesca is brilliant...she is professional, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. I particularly appreciated her combination of hands-on manipulation and evolving exercises...each session was also fun...she pushed me to improve, breaking down scar tissue, increasing flexibility, building up strength, all with a big smile...Each session was a mini anatomy lesson, which is important to me as a scientist...Thank you for the high level of care and professionalism.

The best decision of my life!!! I had a total knee replacement of the right knee. Wish I had of California Orthopedic years ago. From first appt, through surgery, & post op, they have consistently been encouraging/motivating, understanding, & most of all they always listened to me. They answered all of my questions and provided me with the upmost care! The entire office is inviting & kind, but a special "Thank you" to DR KANSARA and the staff! You all are true life savors!!
